Why Big Barn CrossFit and CrossFit? Big Barn has some of the best coaches in Albuquerque, and even more impressive members. The  entire community is always striving to be better than yesterday. I moved here from the Southeast, and the owner was most concerned that I try out a few places and make sure Big Barn was the right fit fore me, and it was.

Growing up and through college, I was always part of a team. I graduated college and–BOOM–desk job. I found myself attempting the (who)man aerobics, and it just didn’t fit. I never had anything to strive for and I couldn’t stand the treadmill and the monotony of the same routine over and over. I found CrossFit through a friend of a friend and haven’t looked back. CrossFit is never boring. The best part is being surrounded by a group of people who are continually trying to improve themselves inside and outside of the gym.

Why Big Barn Crossfit and CrossFit? I found Big Barn shortly after I moved to ABQ. I was directed here because a longtime family friend was a coach. My first workout was Grace and it was the hardest workout I had ever done. Several coaches took the time to make sure I was familiar with the clean & jerk and they helped me scale the weight. I signed up the next day!

I’ve never found a better way to challenge myself in an environment that is more fun than this.
